			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>So I took a week off and it turned into a month.  Amazing I have gained back any weight, but I do need to &#8220;reset&#8221; myself.</p>
<p>Today I stepped on the scale at 247, that is one pound up from Friday, but not as bad as it could be.  I will start again with my goals today.  First today, I need to commit to bloggin each morning and I will start drinking more water again.</p>
<p>Today is a new day.  Today is a new day one.  My goal is a hair easier this time.  ~90lbs in 300 days.  By this time next year my goal is to weight 160lbs.</p>

This week I continue to work on my goal to<span style="color:#008000;"> lose 100 pounds in 50 weeks.</span> So far I have lost <span style="color:#008000;"> 7 pounds</span>.</p>
<p><strong>My semi-official weigh in </strong>- This morning I weighed in at 247 pounds.  I am still a size 22, but it is pretty loose.</p>
<p>I am on vacation this week and won&#8217;t be posting.  Week 5 will start when I get back next Monday.</p>

<p><strong>Make a hiking checklist</strong><strong> – </strong><span style="color:#008000;">Today I am going to make a checklist for hiking. </span><span style="color:#008000;"><br />

<div><span style="color:#339966;">Hiking is a good thing. </span>My weight loss adventure started with a hike.  Our family enjoys getting out and seeing nature.  It is good for the kids, good for me and good for my husband. But it is a lot more fun if we go prepared.</div>

<div>Today I am going to take a little time and make a check list of the things we need to bring with us on our hikes.</div>
<div></div>
<div>
<p>This is <strong>day nineteen,</strong> my goal today is to<strong><span style="color:#000000;"> </span>make our family hikes more enjoyable by having a good checklist.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Yesterday</strong> -</p>
<p><span style="color:#ff0000;">I did  eat after 8 pm.</span> I will track this goal for <strong>5 weeks </strong><strong> </strong><strong> </strong>more</p>
<p><span style="color:#008000;"> </span></p>
<p><span style="color:#008000;">I walked  for 30 minutes. </span>Actually I was doing some heavy gardening for almost two hours   I will track this goal for <strong>3 weeks</strong> and <strong>3 days </strong><strong> </strong>more</p>
<p><span style="color:#339966;"><span style="color:#008000;"><span style="color:#ff0000;">I did eat in front of the computer or TV</span> -</span></span> I ate my South Beach dessert in front of the computer… it was really yummy though.  I really  need to stop doing this.  A little more fore planning will help here.  <strong>3 weeks </strong>and <strong>2 days </strong><strong> </strong>more.</p>
<p><span style="color:#339966;">I drank more than my eight 8-ounce glasses of <strong>water</strong></span><strong>.</strong> I will track this goal for <strong>3 weeks </strong>and<strong> 1 days </strong><strong> </strong><strong> </strong>more.</p>
<p><strong>I have set a goal</strong> -<span style="color:#339966;"> <em>50 weeks to lose 100 pounds. </em><span style="color:#000000;">I am happy with the weight loss so far.  One  more pound down and yesterday was a really awful day.   I was so tempted all day to eat sweet things.  I actually asked my daughter to NOT make cookies as I figured my will power wouldn&#8217;t hold out.  Thank you for reading here and supporting my weight loss efforts.</span><em><br />
</em></span></p>
<p><strong>Way 19 is to Make a check list for hiking</strong><strong>. </strong>I sit down and write out what we need to bring so that our family hikes can be more fun and less &#8220;opps, I forgot sunscreen&#8221;.</div>

<p><strong>Vitamin time</strong><strong> – </strong><span style="color:#008000;">Today I am going to start being consistent in taking a multi-vitamin. </span><span style="color:#008000;"><br />

<p>This is one of those simple things that I keep just not doing.  It is especially important while I am dieting to be sure that I am getting enough vitamins and minerals.   One little pill a day.</p>
<p>I will take my vitamin with breakfast.</p>

<p>This is <strong>day eighteen,</strong> my goal today is to<strong><span style="color:#000000;"> </span>take a vitamin every day</strong>.</p>
<p><strong>Yesterday</strong> -</p>

<p><strong>One Way – Way </strong><strong>seventeen</strong><strong> </strong></p>
<p><strong>Stay away from the refrigerator</strong><strong> &#8211; </strong><span style="color:#008000;">Today I am not going to open the fridge and stare into it wondering what to eat.</span><span style="color:#008000;"><br />

<p>Fridge gazing is not a good thing.  I go into the kitchen and open the refrigerator and end up grabbing something to eat.  Today I will stop doing this.</p>
<p>I have a plan for what snacks are available.  I don&#8217;t need to stare longingly at the food.  It doesn&#8217;t do my will-power any good to be put in temptations way.  In fact staying out of the kitchen all together when I am not cooking or cleaning is a good plan.</p>

<p>This is <strong>day seventeen,</strong> my goal today is to<strong><span style="color:#000000;"> </span>Stay away from the fridge</strong>.</p>

<p><span style="color:#008000;"><span style="color:#ff0000;">I  didn&#8217;t walk  for 30 minutes. </span></span> Yesterday just ended up being insanely busy.   I will track this goal for <strong>3 weeks</strong> and <strong>5 days </strong><strong> </strong>more</p>
<p><span style="color:#339966;"><span style="color:#008000;"><span style="color:#ff0000;">I did eat in front of the computer or TV</span> -</span></span> I ate my South Beach dessert in front of the computer&#8230; it was really yummy though.  <strong>3 weeks </strong>and <strong>4 days </strong><strong> </strong>more.</p>
<p><span style="color:#339966;">I drank more than my eight 8-ounce glasses of <strong>water</strong></span><strong>.</strong> I will track this goal for <strong>3 weeks </strong>and<strong> 5 days </strong><strong> </strong><strong> </strong>more.</p>
<p><strong>I have set a goal</strong> -<span style="color:#339966;"> <em>50 weeks to lose 100 pounds. </em><span style="color:#000000;">Today I was down again.  Yes, this is a big goal, but it is possible and even if I don&#8217;t quite make it I am still better for the trying.  This blog helps me reach my goal by giving me somewhere to report on my successes and trial.  Thank you for stopping by and reading.</span><em><br />

<p>So in lieu of a Sunday Report here is the Tuesday edition.</p>
<p><strong>Week 3 &#8211; Tuesday report.</strong><br />
This week I continued to work on my goal to<span style="color:#008000;"> lose 100 pounds in 50 weeks.</span> So far I have lost <span style="color:#008000;">2 pounds</span>.</p>
<p><strong>My semi-official weigh in </strong>- This morning I weighed in at 252 pounds.  I am still a size 22.</p>
<p><strong>This weekend</strong> -</p>
<p><span style="color:#339966;">I went hiking and got in two good bike rides.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#008000;"> </span></p>
<p><span style="color:#339966;"><span style="color:#ff0000;"><span style="color:#008000;"></span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color:#339966;"><span style="color:#008000;"><span style="color:#339966;">I didn&#8217;t eat in front of the computer or TV</span> -</span></span> I sort of fudged this a couple times where I was physically in front of the computer, but actually talking to my husband.</p>
<p><span style="color:#339966;">I drank more than my eight 8-ounce glasses of <strong>water</strong></span><strong>.</strong> It was very hot.</p>
<p><strong>I have set a goal</strong> -<span style="color:#339966;"> <em>50 weeks to lose 100 pounds. </em><span style="color:#000000;"> So far it is slow going, but I can see progress.  I don&#8217;t want a quick fix I want a permeate fix.<br />

<p><strong>Reducing stress</strong><strong> &#8211; </strong><span style="color:#008000;">Today I am making a list of the things that are stressing me so I can work on limiting them or eliminating them.</span><span style="color:#008000;"><br />

<p>Stress is a bad thing.   When I am under a lot of stress I actually lose weight.  I stop eating almost all together.  But the general, mild, day to day stress is something that I think leads me to overeat.  If I am <span style="color:#ff0000;">feeling bored</span> or a<span style="color:#ff0000;"> little anxious</span> I <span style="color:#ff0000;">eat without thinking</span>.  I need to limit my stress.</p>
<div>One thing that I don&#8217;t do often enough is just to sit down and take stock of what I need to do, what my obligations are, what is causing me stress.  My goal today is to <em>spend a few minuets thinking about the stress points in my life </em>so that I can work on getting those things under control.</div>

<p>This is <strong>day sixteen,</strong> my goal today is to<strong><span style="color:#000000;"> </span>Identify areas of stress</strong>.</p>

<p><strong>Mastication is a good thing</strong><strong> &#8211; </strong><span style="color:#008000;">Today I am making the resolution chew more and eat more slowly</span><span style="color:#008000;"><br />

<p><span style="color:#0000ff;"> </span>No, I don&#8217;t mean I will chew my food to death,  but to slow down while eating.  <span style="color:#0000ff;">I want to enjoy every bite</span>.</p>
<p>One of those <strong>big things </strong> is to enjoy food more by <span style="color:#008000;">eating less</span>, <span style="color:#008000;">eating better</span> and taking the time to <span style="color:#008000;">enjoy my meals</span>.</p>
<p>The plan is to chew more.  Take the time to experience the delight of food, not just wolf down a bunch of calories that I am hardly even tasting.</p>

<p><strong>One Day – Day Fourteen<br />
</strong></p>
<p>This morning I weighed in at 254 pounds.   That is a<span style="color:#ff0000;"> <span style="color:#ff0000;">0 </span></span>change <span style="color:#008000;"> </span>from yesterday and<span style="color:#339966;"> <span style="color:#ff0000;">0</span></span> change overall.  The Big Goal is to lose approximately 100 pounds in 50 weeks one way and one day at a time.  This is <strong>Day 14 </strong>.  This is the third day of <strong>Week Three</strong></p>
<p><strong>One Way – Way </strong><strong>Fourteen </strong><strong> </strong></p>
<p><strong>No eating after 8pm &#8211; </strong><span style="color:#008000;">Today I am making the resolution to not eat after 8pm</span><span style="color:#008000;">.<br />

<p><span style="color:#0000ff;"> </span>One of my long standing problems has been my tendency to want to snack late in the evening.  I will do well on my calorie intact all day and then blow it with a 300 calorie snack before bed.  <strong>I need to stop this</strong>.</p>
<p>If I want to get my weight and health under  control I have to stop eating when I am not hungry.  I am <span style="color:#ff0000;">Not Hungry</span> that late in the evening I am just bored and looking for something to nibble on.</p>
<p>From now on I will not eat after 8pm.</p>

<p>This is <strong>day fourteen</strong>, my goal today is to<strong><span style="color:#000000;"> stop eating after 8pm</span></strong>.  I will track this goal for six weeks.</p>
<p><strong>Yesterday</strong> -</p>
<p>I set my pillar goals.  I want to eat a healthy diet, I want to get more exercise,  I want to reduce my stress levels and I want to sleep a healthy amount.</p>
<p><span style="color:#008000;"> </span></p>
<p><span style="color:#339966;"><span style="color:#ff0000;"><span style="color:#ff0000;">I  didn&#8217;t walk  for 30 minutes.</span> </span></span>We were planning on going for a bike ride after dinner, but then ran out of time.   <strong>4 weeks</strong> and <strong>4 days </strong><strong> </strong>more</p>
<p><span style="color:#339966;"><span style="color:#008000;"><span style="color:#339966;">I didn&#8217;t eat in front of the computer or TV</span> -</span></span> I will track this goal for <strong>4 weeks </strong>and <strong>3 days </strong><strong> </strong>more.</p>
<p><span style="color:#339966;">I drank more than my eight 8-ounce glasses of <strong>water</strong></span><strong>.</strong> I will track this goal for <strong>4 weeks </strong>and <strong>2 days </strong><strong> </strong>more.</p>
<p><strong>I have set a goal</strong> -<span style="color:#339966;"> <em>50 weeks to lose 100 pounds. </em><span style="color:#000000;">No, I am not really discouraged about having the same weight.  <em>But thank you for thinking of me. </em> I am in this for the long term.   I will keep posting and I hope that you will keep reading. </span><em><br />

<p><strong>Way 14 is to stop the night time snacking</strong><strong>: </strong>I will not snack after 8pm anymore I will track this goal for 6 weeks.</div>

<p><strong>One Way – Way </strong><strong>Thirteen</strong><strong> </strong></p>
<p><strong>Pillar Goals &#8211; </strong><span style="color:#008000;">Today I will take some time to think about pillar goals</span><span style="color:#008000;">.  I will set an <strong>Action Goal</strong> for each pillar.<br />

<p><span style="color:#0000ff;">The big goal is to lose 100 pounds. </span><span style="color:#339966;"><span style="color:#000000;">This is a great thing as far as it goes.  It is a solid smart goal, but it is also long term.  It is life changing because underneath that goal is the goal to live a life that allows me to reach and maintain a healthy weight.   <em><span style="color:#3366ff;">Healthy habits support a healthy weight</span>. </em><br />
</span></span></p>
<p><span style="color:#339966;"><span style="color:#000000;">What are the habits I need to create to be healthy and lose weight?  What do I need to be looking at to reach my goal?  Today I will spend some time thinking on this and discover what pillars goals will support my <span style="color:#3366ff;"><span style="color:#339966;">Big Goa</span>l</span>. </span></span></div>
<div>I know that <span style="color:#339966;">eating healthy</span> is one pillar and <span style="color:#339966;">activity</span> is another.  I know that<span style="color:#ff0000;"> stress</span> and <span style="color:#ff0000;">lack of sleep</span> are bad.   Today I will set three to five pillar goals to help support my Big Goal.</div>
